Marco Pasi is research professor in the History of esoteric currents in modern and contemporary Europe at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Sorbonne. In his work, he focuses on the history of modern esotericism, especially in relation to magic, art, sexuality and politics. He has been a Frances Yates Fellow at the Warburg Institute in London, a research fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies and at the Max Weber Kolleg in Erfurt, and an invited professor at various universities, such as the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and Harvard. He is the chief editor of the Aries Book Series, published by Brill.
