Gabrielle M. Hamelin holds a PhD in Early Modern History from the Université de Montréal and the Università degli Studi di Verona. She is currently carrying out a postdoctoral research project at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture. Her general field of study concerns the evolution of vernacular biblical culture in Early Modern Italy, with a focus on the magical uses of the Scriptures.
